Slow tour in Hungary
WINE, CULTURE AND SPARKLING SOURCES
1. day
Arrival at Budapest, an English speaking guide is waiting for the group, transfer to the city center.
Sightseeing tour with the main sights of Pest and Buda. We enjoy our meal in a small local restaurant which offers unique, home made food. After lunch we taste beer in a local privat brewery which has won international awards several times already. We continue our trip to the historic baroque city of Eger.
Accomodation in Eger in a 4 star hotel.
2. day
After buffet breakfast we make a walking tour in Eger: we see the old, mediavel castle’s ruins and the underground kasamats, we see the beautiful main square, the Bishop’s Palace, the old Lyceum and the third biggest church in Hungary. After the tour we travel to Noszvaj and we taste home made food and wine in a privat winery. Accomodation in Eger in a 4 star hotel.
3. day
Buffet breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast we travel with luggage to Demjén, where we visit the cave bath and the water park. From Demjén we travel to Gyöngyös and we enjoy our meal in a small restaurant which offers food bought from the local farmers.
After the lunch we travel to Gödöllı and we visit the beautiful baroque castle. We visit also a privat garden where we get some new inspiration for gardening and where we listen to the owner who tells about the idea to built and form the garden. We arrive at Budapest in the early evening, accomodation in a central located 4 star hotel.
4. day
Buffet breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast we travel to Agárd where we taste Hungarian Pálinka spirit.
Agárdi Pálinkafızde took part in the international Destillata competition in Austria and was the most succesful Hungarian distillery.
We continue our trip to Székesfehérvár. In the historical center of the city we have a guided walking tour and than a lunch. We visit a village where local people grow lavender.
We arrive at Budapest in the afternoon. After a short time of rest we go to the pier and take part in a dinner cruise.
5. day
Morning is free for shopping.
In the middle of the day we travel to Etyek wine region with the luggage. We visit a family running vinery on a 8 hectar wineyard. We taste their products and also local food. In the afternoon departure to the airport.
